If you want to remove an article from a particular menu item, how do you do it? I can't find a way to de-select it.

Hi Linda - You'll want to link the menu item to another article or page in order to unlink it from the existing one. To link the menu item to a different article, click on the "Select" button (1) on the righthand side of the page and choose the new article. To link to a different type of page all together, click Change Type button (2) at the top of the page. Hope that helps!

What we're trying to do is to remove any text from our top-level menu tabs, so that they show only the drop-down menu items below them. So selecting another article won't work. Basically we just want to remove the link to the article that's there.

Linda - It sounds like you want to make the top menu items in your navigation bar unclickable, which we call a Separator. To do that, edit the menu item > choose Change Type > select Other > Separator. Save, and you should be all set!

That's it, Kinsey. It never occurred to me that this was what "separator" meant. Thanks so much!

I just learned how to add the member menu to our Member Landing Page from watching your video (THANK YOU!) However, when I add my member menu it brings up the menu in bullet points for each item. How do I get a nice looking menu, like the one seen in the video?

Hi Julie - I took a look at your Member Landing Page and made a slight change to the HTML code to get the menu to look the way you want it. It should be all set now!

Hello again! Thanks for changing the code for me!

I noticed that when I click away to a different page I lose that "My Profile" access. I tried to create a new Menu Item (view able by members only) on the Main Menu but when I choose Database>My Profile it tells me it is already in use, is this because it's on the member landing page? I would like for it to stay visible so the member can explore the rest of the site without losing that option.

Julie - Each menu item needs to have a unique alias, so you can add the My Profile menu item to the main menu, you'll just want to change it's alias so that each one is unique. I usually add something like "-page" or "2" to the end of the alias, so it would look something like "my-profile-page" or "my-profile-2".

Kinsey - I have the My Profile menu item listed in the Member Menu. It comes with a series of dropdowns (Your Org, Change Password, Invoices, etc) which are not used by us at the moment. How can I unpublish these pages?

    Thanks, Josh

Hi Josh - Those items are system pages, meaning they appear the same way for all of our customers and aren't able to be unpublished. The pages will populate automatically, they don't have to be set-up/configured in order to function.

Hey Marci! When creating your drop-down menu, in the "Parent Item" section, you would click on what you want the Top Item to be. If you have "Top" selected, it will be a first tier item; if you select "Home" or "About Us", for example, it will become a second tier item underneath those. I hope that helps!

I want to add a Quick Links box in my sidebar. When I've played around with the Quick Links option in the Menu Manager, I haven't been able to find a way to view the links on the live site. Is there an article that talks about Quick Links and/or the side bar in particular?

Hello! If your Quick Links aren't showing on the front-end, it sounds like they may have been disabled (provided your Permissions are all set). If you reach out to our Help Team  at 404-879-2800 or help@memberclicks.com, they'll be able to dig in deeper with you!
